Resting On A Holiday

2009

What is a holiday? Originally, my idea of this holiday which we are having now is going to see new places and experiencing new things. But because of some limitations with mobility and budget, we can’t go to all the places which we’ve originally planned to go. But then, it must be a blessing in disguise because our holiday schedule is not as hectic as planned and we have a lot of time to rest and laze our days.

We are also enjoying our stay here in our relative’s house since its very cozy and comfortable. Our kids are so happy to be here since they can also play and watch a lot of cartoons in the big tv. They can even have more time to play in the walk in tubs. Wow, it’s just a great feeling to rest and relax. I thank God for this opportunity and may these free time indeed be well spent in HIm.

Hong Kong Prices

It’s only our second day in Hong Kong right now and I can’t help but notice that most of the stuff here are more expensive than Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.

Take for example some bottled drinks or juices that only cost around 20 pesos in the Philippines, here it’ll cost around 6 HK dollars which would be around 36 pesos. At least their prices are not as high as the western countries but speaking from an Asian point of view who’s in a very tight budget, I just can’t help but notice ( and complain?). But then again, if one is working here in Hong Kong, they won’t really feel the high cost because their salary is also high. I’ve heard from our friend that even Filipino domestic helpers here are paid more than 20 K  pesos ( from HK equivalent).

And back to Hong Kong prices, I’m still on the lookout for something cheap in this place and maybe then I can do a little bit of shopping..:)

Of Homeschool and Degrees

We’ve finally decided which homeschool curriculum we should choose for our li’l girl. Now, we’re just praying and waiting for our funds and only then we can make our order online.

Homeschool is really our best choice as of now since she’s still small. There will be more options to  consider  once she reaches college level since she can be more independent to study in another place if not she can even opt for an online degree.

Most of the fully accredited sites that offers online degrees are very expensive. But I’ve found one that is very affordable yet very credible. It’s the Western Governors University and they’re even offering masters degree online.
