Driving to Carrefour

2010
01.27

Nope, I haven’t driven the car to Carrefour by myself yet but that is supposed to be one of my New Year’s resolution. :) Before the New Year took place, I have planned to have a week straight driving practice with Hubby during the month of January. But guess what, it’s already the end of January and I haven’t done even a single practice driving yet.

Actually, I’m not that excited to drive. Yes, there are really a lot of advantages when I can drive the car, like I can go shopping or mall hopping on my own. But then, somehow I still want to retain my status of  being a worry-free passenger. LOL! Yeah, it’s really less stressful when you just sit  in the car, relax and watch the view around you. But as they said, the more practice I have, the more confident I will be and therefore lesser stress when driving . Hmmm..

Anyways, maybe tomorrow or a few days from now, I will offer to drive the car to Carrefour. But, I must make sure that I offer to drive during the day because the  I’m not confident to drive at night, unless I’ll have those custom headlights in which I can clearly  see everything around me.

Mini Shopping In Malaysia

My Hubby is going to the Thai-Malaysian border tomorrow to do some transactions. And since he’s going to Malaysia, I already gave him a list of things to buy from there. The list mainly consist of things that can be found here in Thailand.. the difference? Of course, the price!! Some things are really cheaper there in Malaysia than here in Thailand ( and vice versa).

Do you want to take a peek of what’s in my list?

- Dryper’s Diapers

- Fernleaf Milk

- Van Houten or Cadbury’s chocolates

- Chicken Nuggets

- etc.

Home Pro Thailand

Home Pro  is one of the places where you can buy furniture, hardware,  home improvement and construction materials at the comfort of an air conditioned mall. Their shops are usually  big and with very nice expensive items. We seldom visit this shop because we always thought of it as pricey but at one time we just went around window shopping and found quite a lot of items very affordable. We actually bought some items here before like our carpets, pillows, rugs , paints and etc as they were at a very good price since it was on sale.

We are now eyeing on one of their lamps. We’re hoping to buy that lamp next month if it’s still on sale. We will have to check on their blinds too since we need to put one in our dining area.

Malaysia PC Fair 2010

Too bad, the Malaysia PC Fair has already ended last January 10. I just hope there will be another Fair by the time we go and visit Malaysia this year. Early last year, we were able to attend the PC Fair in Taiping and bought ourselves a nice, cheap computer sound system. This time I want to get a portable DVD drive and external hard drive for my netbook. It’s really fun to go to this PC fairs, you get to see a lot of cheap computers and accessories from external hard drives to KVM switch. Hopefully, Hatyai will also have PC fairs with cheap items.

Dream Machine

I’ve always been dreaming of getting myself an elliptical machine. I told my Hubby that once I have this exercise machine, I will be forced to exercise everyday because it’s expensive and I just don’t want to waste it by not using it. My Hubby just smiled when I gave him this ‘logical reasoning’. Then, I thought of the waist trimmer disc that I bought a few months ago. I bought it  for 19MYR at Tesco. I used it a few times and now it’s dusty and lying on the floor for months, untouched. Then , I thought to myself, ‘how can I be entrusted with big things when I can’ t trusted with much?’ . LOl! sounds very biblical but it’s quite true. Oh, if only there’s a quick weight loss solution.

Home Cooked Meals

I can’t believe that I’ve been cooking meals for the family consistently now. We actually made it as our  New Years resolution to eat at home 6 days a week and only eat out on Sundays. This way, we get to save a lot of money and at the same time eat healthier food and minimize the consumption of soft drinks. For the past years, we’ve regularly eat out or buy food outside. But when we came back from our year break, we realized that food prices at the restaurants and food stalls have greatly increased and therefore it’s no longer practical for us to eat out regularly.

I’m extremely enjoying cooking for the family now. I get to choose my own recipes and make sure to regularly include vegetables in our menu. I’ve heard that eating fruits and vegetables is one of the best cholesterol treatments .

Trying to Conceive? Take Folic Acid

2010
01.17

Nope, taking folic acid doesn’t help you to conceive but I’ve read that if you take folic acid even before pregnancy, then it will prevent brain defects for your future baby. That’s why when we were already planning to have a baby, I was already consuming about 400 micrograms (400 mcg or 0.4 mg) of folic acid daily.  Then when I got pregnant, my folic acid dosage was increased and is already included in my prenatal vitamins. And true enough, my baby came out very healthy and strong.

Sleep!

I tried Oil of Olay. I tried Clearasil. I tried the Renow D Cream. But to no avail, my pimples are back with a vengance! LOL!  So, what’s the best acne treatment? I still don’t have an answer. But I think these breakouts are caused by my late nights doing my online work. So, I better sleep now to prevent further breakouts and skin problems. Good night!

Virgin Coconut Oil

We still have the Virgin Coconut Oil that my Mom gave me the last time she came here. This oil has been proven very effective in hair treatment. I remember applying this oil to my hair before and it indeed lessen my hair fall. My mom in law also used this before and she told me that her white hair has also lessened. I wonder if this oil is also effective as hair loss products for women . Anyways, I’ve heard of a lot of uses for VCO and they even say that it can also make you lose weight.

Oh, the wonders of internet technology, we ca search for people we would never know about offline. Just take for example, richard willich, I never heard of this name until I read a news article and then when I searched it online I was given a lot of pages with the name .  He is actually the president of MDI Holdings.
