Trying to Conceive? Take Folic Acid

Nope, taking folic acid doesn’t help you to conceive but I’ve read that if you take folic acid even before pregnancy, then it will prevent brain defects for your future baby. That’s why when we were already planning to have a baby, I was already consuming about 400 micrograms (400 mcg or 0.4 mg) of folic acid daily.  Then when I got pregnant, my folic acid dosage was increased and is already included in my prenatal vitamins. And true enough, my baby came out very healthy and strong.
