Robinson’s 70% Off Sale

Robinson’s Department Store here in Hat Yai has an on going sale that’s up to 70% off on selected items of all branded wear, clothing and accessories. I just saw their posters and brochures yesterday but I don’t think we’ll be going there to see the sale today. Today is Sunday and the city center is just too crowded. Why? because it’s a long weekend for the Malaysians so, there are bus loads of them in the city center now. And not to mention it’s also a holiday here in Thailand tomorrow, so it seems like everyone is out in the malls and supermarket.

Every year, Thailand has a 2 month long grand sale in the key cities and departments stores. You can get discounts up to 50% off on a variety of products and services.

For this year, the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale is scheduled on the 1st of July until the 31st of August in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hat Yai, Songkla and Pattaya.

Yes, I’m always on the look out for the biggest sale. Now, I have a task to look for the cheapest term life insurance available online.

The Hospital Bill

We have a saying in the Philippines that says, ” Bawal Magkasakit” which means, ” Getting Sick is Not Allowed.”  It’s really true, if it’s possible we must avoid getting sick at all cost. Why? Because aside from being weak and not being able to do work and the normal things,  it’s costly to get sick.

My Hubby just got admitted in the hospital few weeks ago. He was really so weak and the Doctor advised him to be admitted immediately. After a few dosage of medicine and tests, he was fine and was allowed to check out the following day. And guess how much he had to pay the hospital for an over night ( few hours ) stay? 13,000 Baht. Whew!

Getting hospitalized is really costly these days. Thank God that we’ve got great insurance quotes before and are now medically insured. Praise God for health insurance if not, we would always have second thoughts going to the hospital for the fear of expensive bills.
