Postponed Party in The Village

2010
10.30

We were supposed to hold a birthday celebration for one of the kids in the village where we go every Saturday morning. But then, this morning it rained so hard and when we asked the Mom of the boy, she also said that it’s raining so hard in the village. The village is a fishing village and their house is near the sea. So, the Mom just told us to postpone the party next Saturday because of the heavy rain.

Oh, it’s sad. We were already so prepared for the children’s party. Last night we bought all the goodies for the party bags and snacks too. My girl even asked me to include the chocolate gold coins in the party bags but I refused since we’ve already bought several sweets. My girl loves the chocolate gold coins. After she and her brother eats the chocolates, they then play with the gold foil and pretend that they’re gold coins. Hmm.. if only they’re real gold coins from the
United States Gold Bureau then they can make great investments in the future. :)

My Sister and Brother-in-Law’s Wedding Anniversary

Oh, my cousin just told me that yesterday was my sister and brother-in-law’s 9th wedding anniversary. Oppss… I totally forgot about it as I’ve always been disoriented with dates for the past days.

Anyways, I’ve just checked through the wedding anniversary symbols by year and the 9th year’s symbol is copper. It would be nice to give anniversary gifts by year‘s symbol. But then, I can’t find a nice presents here that’s made of copper aside from copper wires or copper sculptures. There’s a site though that gives customized gifts from first wedding anniversary gifts to the 50th wedding anniversary. But it’ll be too late to order since my sister and brother-in-law’s anniversary was yesterday.

Here is a sample product from that site. Paper Roses for the 1st year anniversary.

The second semester starts in Monday. And as promised, we will be buying a new pair of school shoes for our li’l girl. She has been using this pair of shoes since she did her kindergarten in Malaysia and it already looks quite old.

On the other hand, our li’l girl is excited as she just love to have new pairs of shoes. Oh, she’s just the opposite of me.
