Medical Bills

2010

We noticed that our hospital bills for this year has been very high. Maybe we’ve been visiting the hospital more often now for check up but then I also noticed that the hospital we’ve been going to for almost 8 years have raised their prices quite high. Professional fees have been doubled, midwifery rates have increased and so have the costs of the medicine too.

Praise God that we have some kind of subsidy for outpatient medical bills. We do have a medical insurance but it only covers inpatient medical bills. It’s always beneficial to have medical insurance or life insurance. If you don’t have them yet, then better check  those with good life insurance rates.

Baby Boy

My friend just gave birth to a cute, healthy baby boy! Oh, I’m so happy for her and her family. When I was browsing through the photos of her newborn baby, I can’t help but recall the times when my kids were newly born. I gave birth to both of my kids through cesarian operation. I had a difficult delivery during my first one since I labored for 36 hours. When my Dr. monitored the fetal heartbeat through a fetal doppler during the last hour, she found out that the fetal heartbeat was already slow. So, that was then she decided to do an operation. Praise God that my baby is safe and healthy and is now 6 years old.

Sizzler’s Discount Card

We added another card to our discount card collection, a Sizzler’s member card. This card automatically entitles a 10% discount to any food purchase PLUS all other discount vouchers. This card costs 129 Baht but I consider it so worth since it has 2 years validity. I’m sure that we will be dining more than 2 times at Sizzler’s in 2 years time.

The thing that attracted me most with their member’s card is their ‘free combination platter’ for the member’s birthday. A combination meal costs almost 400 Baht, so I really consider that as a great treat. And since I signed in my Hubby for the member card, then he gets a free meal on his birthday – and that’s at the end of the year! Yipeee!!
