Not A Shopaholic

I went for window shopping today. It was actually my Mommy day out. And  just like other day outs, I usually go window shopping and have coffee. Since I’m not a shopaholic, I’m very contented doing window shopping alone. We seldom shop till our hearts content and I guess we only do that during Christmas. Who can’t shop during Christmas when one has to buy gifts for friends and families. But I do enjoy shopping too, even if it’s not for myself. Buying for someone gives me the satisfaction  like I’m buying for myself too. I carefully think what the recipient likes and make sure that I choose the best gift for each individual.  But sometimes due to lack of time and resources (?), we settle for the 2nd best. That’s why it’s best to prepare and buy gifts beforehand. For highly organized people, I’m sure they must have already prepared their father’s day gifts 2011 . Yes, that’s possible, I even had a friend who finished wrapping all her Christmas gifts in September the same year.

I heard from my friend that there is a company that hires article writers and pay them gift certificates instead of cash. My cousin was actually interested to join the company but she found out later that the shop for that gift certificates are based in the US. It could have still been possible for her to use the Gift certificates online and just use her relative’s address in the US for shipping address. But then, most of the items available in that site are house furnishings maybe like cabin beds and such and would be impossible for her cousin to ship or bring these to the Philippines without paying a lot of money.

I think there are really a lot of opportunities when you’re residing in the US. There are even a lot of great giveaways that I would love to join but sadly, is only limited to US residents.

I so love giveaways these days. I did mention in my other blog that I won 2 giveaways from OWOH event. And just a week ago, I received another email informing me that I won a necklace from an Etsy Shop. At first, I thought that that was from an OWOH site but it turned out that it was from another site. But actually I did find that site from an OWOH blog too.

Now, I can’t stop myself from joining more giveaways. Though I haven’t been very active the past days since I had a lot of online work to do.
