My Credit Card Story

I’m one person who used to be scared of getting loans and paying by credit. I think it’s because I’m too practical and I wanted to avoid risks.

Well, all of these changed when we have to book tickets online and the sites only accept credit cards. So, my Mom first gave me her supplementary cards and then next my sister followed. At first we just used the credit card solely for booking our tickets. But we always make sure that we pay up the principal amount before the due date. And a little while later, we started using our card for groceries. You know how it is at times when there’s not much cash available towards the month end. And thank God for our extra income online in which we could still pay our bills.

But there is just one thing that I have to do these days as I notice that we’re using the card more frequently. I have to Monitor credit report. I haven’t been doing that since before I only use it once or twice a month for groceries. But for this month, I think we used it several times. You see, I book tickets for our trip back in the Philippines and for my Hubby’s trip to the north.

I’m just glad that it’s almost the end of the month and I’m really going to make sure that we will be able to pay for this month’s bill. Yes, that’s me.. I’m still quite scared to end up in so much of debt. In a way that’s a good thing ( I think). I always want to be in a safe side and don’t want to struggle in the end. And most of all, I try my best to be a good steward of the resources that God has given me.

Doll Eyes

First I was wondering why suddenly most of the teenager girls here have big round eyes like doll’s eyes. Only then I noticed the contact lenses being sold everywhere. These contact lenses are actually not used to correct your vision but for ‘beauty’ purposes like to make your pupils look larger making you look like a doll. I’m not sure whether these lenses are safe or not but all I know is that they are not being sold in the pharmacies but rather just on the streets or normal shops.

So, these dolls eyes are the trend among the youths now. At least, these are disposable ones and they won’t be having big eyes forever. Unlike for tattoos, when you have it means it’ll be there forever unless you got for a laser tattoo remover.

Oh, trends..they come and they go…

Weight Loss = Expenses

In my ‘effort’ to have a quick weight loss, I’ve been lured to buy products that promises results but are of price. Here are the products that I’ve tried in the past.

1) USANA’s Reset Program = Price: about 1,500 Baht  It’s a 5 day program tried to reset you system through their healthy drink. I actually like the Reset program. Though I didn’t lose a lot of weight in 5 days but it helped me curb my carbo and sweet cravings and sweets. After the reset program, I was able to go on without rice and coke for a number of days. Until of course, I broke it off and went back to my old eating habits.

2) A Natural Diet Supplement- Price: About 1,800 ( good for 3 months) Oh, I completely forgot the name of that supplement. I bought it from Boots and the sales attendant highly recommended it to me. She said they are the diet pills for women that really work . Of course I believed her since she said that she lost a considerable amount of weight from it. But after finishing 1 box, I didn’t see any changes with my body nor my appetite. So, I didn’t even finish the tablets.

3) Nature Fashion Slimming Coffee- Price: 200 Pesos but with expensive shipping .. This coffee really worked so fast. I think I lost almost 3 kilos in 6 days. There wasn’t much changes in my figure so, it must be water weight first. I was happy with the result but also quite scared with it. I felt dryness in my throat and my food tasted bad. I could have just go on with it and enjoy the weight loss, but something in me was not at peace. So, I did further research on the side effects of the coffee and compared with other slimming coffee products. I didn’t like the result of my search so I decided to stop drinking the coffee before finishing the 1st box.

So, weight loss does equal to expenses. All these the weight loss products are expensive whether or not they give desirable results. My conclusion? I’ll stick to losing weight the natural way. It’s not just the safest but the cheapest way to lose weight.
