Couples Who Pray by Rushnell and Duart

This is my first book review from Book Sneeze and the book I received was Couples Who Pray by Squire Rushnell and Louise Duart. This book talks about the importance of praying together as a couple and has a lot of stories and testimonies of couples who did and how God has changed their marriages.

I was so excited when I received the book and immediately read the first few pages. Hubby and I have actually been praying as a couple, but when things get busy, we fail to do it until we completely forget about it.

So, that night itself, Hubby and I read the few pages of the book, did the test and prayed together. From then on, we’ve made it a point to pray together before going to bed. As we read the book together, we also made a commitment in praying together every night without fail. It has been a great experience, inviting God to move in our personal lives, our marriage, family and ministry.

As I continued to read the book ( I couldn’t wait for our nightly readings anymore, I just had to read ahead), I’ve found a lot of great testimonies of couples who prayed together and how God answered their prayers.

This book is really so encouraging and is a ‘must-read’ for all couples. I’m actually so impressed with this book that I want others to read and be blessed by it too. So, tonight we’re going to a wedding and be giving our copy to the newly wedded couples. I know they will be blessed and it will give them a great start in their marriage as they pray together.

Oh, I won’t worry about not having my own copy now since I can always order at Book Depository and even buy a couple more to give out to our friends too. Yes, this will be a great gift for couples.

Business Needs

Whenever I think of business opportunities, I get excited. I’m not an entrepreneur but I think venturing into business must be one of the things that I want to try out. I think I find it challenging and I would want to see I how I would go about it if  I have a business of my own.

If ever I venture into business, maybe I will find myself in the cake business. Yes, I’m a ‘frustrated’ baker and would want to see myself in the business level of my baking ‘career’. The other possible business option for me would the clothing and accessories business. Oh, I’m not so much into fashion but after being here in Thailand for many years, we’ve found out the shops which sell shoes, bags, clothing and accessories that sell at cheap whole sale prices.

I know there are a lot of other things to be considered when venturing into a business. One will need all kinds of forms like business forms, general invoices or shipping invoices. But this is quite an easy task since I find one online company that can cater to all my printing needs. I’ve just browsed through the shop and found some great products.

Oh well, let me continue to practice my baking skills first if I’m serious in doing a cake business. As for my second option, I just need a capital to start off.

It has arrived!

Last week, I ordered a personalized Memo Pad from Artscow. They had this sale in which the Memo pad originally priced at 4.99$ has been sold at 1.99$. I immediately took the opportunity and designed one specifically for HUbby as our Father’s Day gift to him.

I thought that the package will only arrive 2-3 weeks later but I was surprised that it arrived the other day. The funny thing is that Hubby was the one who saw the package first. So, I didn’t have any choice but to show him his Father’s Day gift in advance. :)

It was my first time to order from Artscow and I think I’ll order more, once I see some great deals!
