New Netbook

My cousin just purchased a new netbook for himself. It’s a Samsung brand with a very slim body. The features were pretty cool with 320 GB memory and 2 GB RAM. The netbooks weren’t on sale but the thing that pushed him to purchase it was the zero interest 10 month installment plan.

It was a pretty good plan, to pay a little bit a month with zero interest.

This Month’s Voucher

We just received our Tesco voucher for this month. And I’m glad to know that we have 95 Baht cash voucher plus another 300 baht plus discount voucher. This has actually encouraged us to do our monthly groceries in Tesco rather than Carrefour. Sorry Carrefour! Carrefour has some kind of club card but so far we haven’t received any vouchers or discounts from it. So, we’ll stick to shop in Tesco and maybe just buy meat products in Carrefour since their meats are fresher there.

The Birthday Treat

I celebrated my birthday a month ago. But until now, I can’t help but smile and be blessed by my Hubby’s birthday present for me. It was an all body and facial spa at Garbunting Spa. I never thought that I could experience such luxury ( for me) and thus I felt so special. Now, I know Queen Esther could have felt when she went through some kind of beauty treatment for the king.

It was even quite awkward for me as to someone ‘wait’ on me and do my massage, scrub and etc. One thing I didn’t experience though at that time was a milk bath. But I can always do that anyone during holidays or conferences where we stay in hotels with bath tubs. I saw in the magazines in which some tubs are so luxurious and some even have hot tub covers.

Anyways, I thank God for that ‘princess-like’ experience. That birthday of mine was indeed special.

The Car CD Player

Yipee! Hubby bought a new cd player for our car! We can now listen to beautiful and inspiring Christian music again, whenever we ride the car.

This is actually our 3rd CD player for the car. The 1st two players were given to us by our friend. We were in Malaysia when our friend bought a new player for us. He sent our car to the shop have it install and brought it back to us with a new CD player. I could still remember we were happily listening to some songs that afternoon we were going around Klang. But guess what, the next morning, we found out that someone has broken into our car and stole the CD player. Huhuhu!

Then a few months later, a friend gave us money to buy another CD player, we used it for a few years until it died it’s natural death. So, now with our 3rd player, we are hoping that it’ll be safe and will last very long.

I guess this is just the gadget to complete our car. We don’t need to accessorize much and buy a body kit for our car, since our car is already quite old. We just need to maintain our car very well so, our car will last longer.

Wacoal Buy 1 Free 1

I got so excited when I saw the Buy 1 Free 1 signage of Wacoal products at Carrefour today.I thought of buying a bra for myself and was even thinking of informing my sisters about the sale. You see, Wacoal products are very expensive in the Philipines even you compare it to the normal prices here in Thailand.

But while carefully choosing some items, I had to ask the sale person since I was not so sure whether the whole section has the offer or was it only limited items. Only then I found out that there was actually a catch to their promotion. It’s not the normal buy 1 free 1 promo where the free item would be the same item you bought. But in this case , the free item is the lower priced item. Like for example if I buy a bra, the free item would be a panty. Hmm… it’s not exactly the best offer for me. I will just have to wait for the yearly 50% off sale at the other department stores then.

I’m sure a lot of wealthy people would love to get hold of this very unique MacBook Air. Overtime

I’m working overtime tonight. I have a lot of online work that’s needed to be done and night time is the only time I have to do my work. My mornings and afternoons are normally busy with household work and the kids. Sometimes, I get to sneak out and do some work during the daytime but then, I easily get distracted with the kids noise, fights and etc. So, hopefully, I could finish off my work tonight so I can get some sleep.

Virus – Critical Level

I was alarmed this morning when I was using our PC to check the internet and a virus alert came out. The warning said that there are 12 viruses that are at a critical level in my PC!! I really panicked since it’s my first time to see that alert. So, I immediately clicked on the ‘fix’ button but was dismayed that the anti virus program that we have is on trial period and thus we have to subscribe and pay first before the virus can be cleaned. So, I didn’t have a choice but to turn off the computer unprotected and wait till my Hubby comes back home.

According to Wikipedia, it was valued in 2005 to be worth at 400 Million Yen! That’s a whooping 4,688,232.55 US dollars based on the current rate. Whew! And that value was only 5 years ago, I’m very sure that the value of that gold bar could have increased all the more. Whoever owns this gold bar is indeed a very, very, very wealthy person.

A Hunting We Will Go

I love to reminisce my childhood years when I used to go with my father for hunting ‘expeditions’. He allowed me to go with him and his hunter friends on the mountain, in the campsites and in the ‘jungle’. It was always fun going with them and the fact that I’m not the only kid tagging along with them since my father’s friends also bring their kids with them.

How I wish that I too could create the same experience for my kids. I’m sure they too would want to experience hunting in the mountaintops and having to sleep in the tent at night. It’ll be nice if we could save up and start investing on tents, camping gadgets and even hunter boots for me, hubby and kids. I’ve heard that hunter wellington boots are very popular. I hope that these hunter wellies would e affordable for us.
